马德里皇宫的点评
点评：First of all I would say book tickets in advance. We booked our tickets a week in advance and even they were selling out.
And when you visit it, you can see why tours selling out. We did a self guided tour. There’s a lot to see. And it’s gloriously opulent.
We saw a lot more rooms than I expected. Each room more glorious than the next. There is a lot to take in and you have to look everywhere, even up to the ceiling. Signs in the rooms are in both Spanish and English.
I have read that some of the staff are unpleasant but I never found that an issue, even when one explained to me that I had to put my backpack in the lockers, they were friendly and polite.
If you love history, art, palaces, Royalty then the palace is well worth a visit and great value for money. It is simply stunning. My recommendation is book early, at least a week in advance.
Just be aware when you book that some of the guided tours are in Spanish, so don’t moan if you book the wrong tour.
