点评:We walked through St. James’s Park as part of a tour booked through Viator, making our way from Westminster Abbey to the Changing of the Guard at Buckingham Palace. Seeing the palace in the distance as we strolled through the park added to the experience.
This is somewhere I would happily have spent more time, taking in the scenery and enjoying a quiet moment during a busy sightseeing day. The wildlife was a wonderful surprise, particularly the swans (we even saw a black one!) and the pelicans. It was lovely to see them up close.
The park was still quite busy, but it was an enjoyable place to walk and somewhere I would recommend exploring at your own pace. There were public washrooms, although we didn’t use them because there was a queue and our group was moving on, so I can’t comment on their condition.
Personally, I would have welcomed a few small bistro-style carts along our route for a convenient drink or snack. For tired travellers, that would have been a lovely addition.
A beautiful stop between the major sights, and one I wish we’d had more time to appreciate.
