点评：Skiddaw was one of the most memorable hikes I've ever done.
Don't let the height fool you – this mountain deserves respect. The trail is well marked in good conditions, but the weather can change incredibly fast. I started in sunshine with beautiful views, and within a short time the summit was completely covered in thick fog. Visibility dropped to almost nothing, and the hike became a completely different experience.
Even without the famous panoramic views, reaching the summit was worth it. There is something magical about Skiddaw. The silence, the changing weather and the feeling of standing on one of England's highest mountains make it unforgettable.
If you're planning this hike, check the forecast carefully, carry suitable clothing and don't underestimate the mountain, especially in fog. Good navigation skills are important.
Despite the weather, I absolutely loved it. Skiddaw challenged me physically and mentally, and it's a mountain I'll remember for a very long time. I hope to come back one day and finally see the views from the summit!
