莎士比亚环球剧场的点评
点评：We have seen the Tempest before in quite a formal setting and thought this would be the same, very traditional and dramatic!
Well were we surprised?
A very intimate setting, very snug. The seats on the floor in the stall looked like they had a good view. Most of the others would have the same. We had a great view right over the stage.
The whole performance was full of surprises with nods to the current time. It would really help if you read a quick guide to the story first if you don't know it already.
And don't forget to turn your phones off totally. Someone got told off for using their phone during the first act by Prospero! Not something to put on your CV!! Surely you can do without the bloody thing for a few hours!!
The performers were brilliant! Really brought the play to life. And the little surprises kept you thinking and guessing.
Waiting for Romeo and Juliet now.
