点评：Although I've driven by the ooutdoor museum many times without stopping, I did stop today and was blown away at how wonderful the experience was. The historic buildings show pride in the local history -- each one is equipped with way more artifacts and furnishings than you normally find in a much bigger museum displays. There are also sheep wagons, implements of ranching life, even a bridge! You get a real feel for the history of the Little Snake River Valley, and for Wyoming history in general. One could easily spend an hour in each of the 20 buildings. In addition, the grounds were immaculate -- it would have been a worthwhile stop just for the park-like space, even if none of the buildings had been open. The experience is stellar -- one of the best historical museums I've ever been to -- staff was friendly and definitely took pride in the institution. Worth a detour for sure -- I know that I will never pass it up again.
