Excellent museum explaining life in Luxembourg in WW2 under the Germans
General Patton Memorial Museum的点评
点评:We visited this museum as part of a tour of the Battle of the Bulge museums in the area. On arrival a delightfully friendly lady - originally from Oxfordshire U.K. I believe - explained about the museum in detail. While called the Patton Memorial Museum, only a small part is dedicated to Patton, a room containing photographs and a video of his life.
However, the majority of the museum concerns the Occupation of Luxembourg by the Germans during WW2, and is a fascinating and eye-opening story. Artifacts from the period are on display and there is a long video on the occupation, with interviews with a number of people who lived through it.
On the ground floor is a room containing battlefield relics that have been recovered from the area.
All in all, an excellent way to spend an hour or two.
