点评：Sadly, this experience overshadowed what should have been a memorable celebration for our entire party. Despite many months of communication regarding my friend's dietary requirements, it was clear on the day that management had failed to properly prepare.
Watching managers openly discuss how they couldn't amend the set menu, accompanied by eye-rolling and visible frustration, was uncomfortable and unprofessional. Rather than taking ownership of the situation, one manager repeatedly asked my friend if the substitute meal was "okay", despite it being a poor alternative and completely missing the point. The issue was never just the food—it was the lack of preparation, empathy and respect after months of assurances.
The handling of the situation was so embarrassing that my friend ended up apologising to the rest of our party for something that was entirely outside of her control. No guest should ever be made to feel like a burden because a venue failed to honour arrangements that had been agreed well in advance.
The entire situation cast a shadow over the evening and continued to affect us long after the event had ended. It was incredibly disappointing to see a special celebration remembered not for the occasion itself, but for the way my friend's dietary requirements were handled.
