点评：I found this tour at the very last minute and could not have been happier with our experience. My family and I traveled to Saint John, New Brunswick, and while we were there I was hoping we would be able to see puffins. As an amateur ornithologist, I was devastated to know that seeing them in Saint John wasn't going to be possible. After learning this, I researched how we could see them during our vacation and found this company. Luckily, we were staying in Portland and were going to be able to drive to New Harbor!
Since we knew it was near the end of puffin season, we were cautiously optimistic. From the beginning of us getting there, everyone was so friendly and excited about the boat ride. The trip was smooth and comfortable, the workers were cheery, and spirits were high. I really appreciated the Audubon presentation and learned so much more about birds of the area and the history of Audubon. Our presenter (who I unfortunately can't remember the name of) was amazing! She was charismatic and obviously very passionate about the topic.
Upon arriving to the rock island, we saw a puffin almost immediately! I think overall we probably saw between 12-15 puffins in total. Everyone was so excited and many got emotional (myself included). I felt so happy for the woman in front of me with a heavy-duty camera who had been wanting to see puffins for years and finally got to.
I have attached a photo below of the lovely Hardy Boat staff and the Audubon presenter, along with one of the photos I was able to capture with my Canon!
