点评：Alta Orsa is a truly special, under-the-radar wine estate—a rare find. The kind you want to share with friends… and also keep to yourself. Family-owned and farmed, it’s rooted in holistic, regenerative practices. The 160-acre mountain property sits just five minutes from Hopland, yet feels a world away.
Enjoy minimal-intervention wines—ranging from sparkling and rosé to Pinot Noir and Cabernet—under a majestic cork tree, with sweeping views of the valley below.
Owner and winemaker Martin Hafner-Bernal is knowledgeable, charming, and welcoming—and he knows how to throw a proper gathering. Come for the wine, and stay for the asados: traditional Argentinian BBQs that turn into lively, memorable parties.
I was tempted to keep this discovery to myself, but did host a tasting for about 25 friends—all of whom had an incredible time (once they made it up the winding dirt road). Getting there, as it turns out, is part of the adventure!
