The garden is full of flowers, plants, vegetables and wildlife, with winding paths and plenty of quiet corners to sit and simply enjoy the surroundings. It has a lovely, informal character and feels very much like a garden created and cared for by people who genuinely love the place.
What makes it particularly special is its strong community spirit. The garden provides a welcoming space where people can learn, garden, develop skills, meet others and simply spend some time in pleasant surroundings. It is a wonderful example of how a garden can bring people together while also providing a peaceful haven in the middle of a historic town.
I really enjoyed discovering this little oasis during my visit. It is not a grand formal garden or a traditional tourist attraction, but that is precisely its charm.
