点评:Of course we picked the first of the heatwave days to visit, and unfortunately they were experiencing an air conditioning issue in the visitor center. But we still consider it a successful visit.
The grounds are vast. They have a nice covered picnic pavilion with restrooms. Note that the light switch is a tad lower than you might expect. The visitor center also has restrooms and water fountains. The intro video is informative though could use a refresh to fix the audio quality. The video is captioned. There is this nice (bigger than you think) walk through history lesson. I could see spending a bit of time in there reading all the displays. Some displays were kid friendly interactives.
The manor house, though not air conditioned actually wasn’t unbearable. Yes, it is a reproduction but it meets the purpose of being the background to the story of William Penn. The docent was knowledgeable and friendly. She took our questions in stride.
There are a number of buildings, and even live animals to see.
The admission fees are minuscule seeing what their operational costs must be. All in all, you could be here for 2-3 hours. Wear comfortable shoes.
