点评：Really nice experience even if indeed a bit overrated. Good to know :
* from Abulawera to Ella :
Due to the terrible floading of dec 2025 the train do not operate from Kandy to Newura Ellya y only from Abulawera (30 min from Newura) to Ella.
1) Don't buy a ticket in advance, you are going to pay 25 USD instead of 70 cents (!) for a second class ticket.
2) Be at the station 2 hours departure if you don't want to make the ride standing up.
3) Take a seat on the left hand side to get the nicer view. There are 2 trains a day at 09:30 en 15:00.
4) If 2nd class is full, try 3rd with the same ticket.

* from Ella to Abulawera

2) you can be at the station to buy your ticket up to 30 min before departure as here the train will not be waiting but will be arriving from another station
3) take a seat on the right side
4) see above
2 trains a day - one at 09:45 and one in the afternoon (check time)
