点评：As the weather wasn’t good enough for stargazing we were given a presentation instead, showing us what we would have seen, talking us through using various stars to locate others and track the constellations across the sky. There was a good mix of general information, constellation mythology and the science behind some of the objects we were being shown. A nice touch was comments on which objects would be visible using binoculars or small telescopes especially if you’re just starting to get into stargazing.
They were checking the cloud cover frequently throughout the talk which unfortunately didn’t clear up enough for us to go out and see anything, but it’s good that an alternative is offered instead which we found really informative and interesting. We were sent a discount code for our next booking which we hope to take advantage of once they’ve got their new site in Pembrokeshire.
This was bought as a gift for me as a very amateur stargazer and I would thoroughly recommend it, Allan and Kai were so friendly and knowledgeable, it was just a shame about the weather!
