点评：We are fairly new to southwest Florida and we’re trying get out and see more of what’s here. As luck would have it, we heard about this Botanical Garden and how they have days when entry is free, for two people, if you have a library card. My wife has a card and we went for a visit. The garden itself is set off in a somewhat rural part of Naples, but just minutes from busy Naples. Plenty of free parking and easy drop off/pick up of those with mobility issues. We were pleasantly surprised to see that they rented powered scooters for $14 and it made for a much better visit for my wife. Most of the paths are concrete or paved, a few with sand or gravel. It was an extremely hot day on our visit, but the tall trees, arbors and buildings provided shade and places to sit and relax. There are so many flowers and plants to see. There’s a babbling brook, a lake, a lily pond, a cactus garden, an orchid center, so much. There are names tags by almost every plant. The magic of cell phones and Google Lens provides quick access to information on any plant. We were looking for ideas for our own garden and we got all we needed here. It’s not a huge garden, but very relaxing to walk around, take endless pictures and grab a snack at the Cafe. We will go back again I’m sure.
