点评：It is located 90 kilometres away from Shillong city, on the border with Bangladesh. It is just a few kilometres away from the spectacular , majestic, and crystal clear Dawki River. If you are going to Dawki river, don't forget to stop by the India-Bangladesh friendship gate. We had been to Meghalaya this January. During our visit to Dawki we came to know that India and Bangla friendship garden is very near. That's how we could able to visit this Unique place.
Maghalaya then Governor Ganga Prasad inaugurated the Friendship Gate at Dawki on 13th Feb 2018, with an aim to have a Wagah like beating retreat ceremony for the Indian and Bangladesh border guards.
Even though it does not seem to be something out of the ordinary from the outside. However, it is the gate which creates a great sense of pride to witness with your own eyes. The India Bangladesh friendship boarder attraction offers unique glimpse into the relationship between these two neighbouring nations. More than just a geographical boundary, it's a place where cultures meet.
You will see two entry gates as you walk around the area. India side gate is located at area called as Dawki and other side location name is Tamabil which is located @ Bangladesh line. We can see both entry gates by standing at Dawki side Gate.
