点评:We were visiting Nantucket for the day and learned that the bus is free, so in our exploring took a bus to Sconset. The bus driver told us there was a 1.5 mile walk to a lighthouse but didn't mention the bluff walk. We walked down to the beach area first and chatted with a local person who told us about the way to the lighthouse. When following his directions (from the beach through the nearby neighborhood, & look for an angled path) we discovered this bluff walk. What a hidden treasure! It was an enchanting walk along the path through the back yards of beautiful houses and overlooking the bluff to the ocean. There were various little nice surprises along the way (a pollinator garden, some decorated seashells with riddles, a private stair access to the beach that the owners shared with the public). It felt so very gracious of the community to share this beautiful pathway as a public walk. We came out on the street and continued on to the lighthouse, which was beautiful and read of its interesting history. It did seem longer than an mile and a half (one way) and we were a bit tired by the time we made it back to the bus stop area, but well worth the time and effort!
