Tanzania Roadside Expeditions的点评
点评：My husband & I had an amazing private safari with Tanzania Roadside Expeditions in September. It was our second time with them & we did not hesitate to ask for a similar itinerary & request the same guide as our previous trip three years ago. The booking was all done at fairly short notice as we decided to treat ourselves to a repeat of our ‘once in a lifetime trip’! We only started to enquire about our trip in June this year direct with Paul who runs the company. He was wonderfully helpful & put together a perfect holiday for us, even managing to allocate our guide Idris to us again.
Our lodges were perfect, staying at Gran Melia in Arusha on the day we arrived before our safari started next day. We stayed at Manyara’s Secret lodge after a day in Tanangire which had gorgeous lodges overlooking the lake with private plunge pools. We sadly didn’t have time to use it as we arrived late & left early next morning but it looked wonderful.
We spent two fabulous nights at the Serengeti Explorer lodge & would return there in a heartbeat! It had a stunning infinity pool overlooking the Serengeti It also had it’s own hide overlooking a small watering hole. The last lodge was the Ngorongoro Rim lodge & I had an amazing soak in the bath overlooking the valley below, hoping that an elephant would wander past on the well used track below the picture window. Sadly this was not to be, but lying in that bath listening to birds & animals was perfect,
All the lodges had one thing in common & that was the staff, who without exception were fabulous! They were all welcoming & friendly, going out of their way to make us feel at home.
We visited Tarangire National Park, The Serengeti & Ngorongoro Crater on our safari. As it was only the two of us in the vehicle, we had the luxury of being able to spend as much time as we wanted waiting for & watching the animals & I could move from one side of the vehicle to the other to get my best shots. My passion is photography & Idris made sure that he manoeuvred the vehicle into the best positions for me to get some great shots. He did not race through the parks (until he heard that there was an exciting animal sighting) but drove at a steady pace so we could spot so much & he pointed out birds & smaller animals. On one occasion lots of trucks drove past us at speed & missed a female hyena pop up from her den followed by her tiny cub. We managed to see all the animals that we had hoped to see including lions, leopards, elephants & rhinos. We felt privileged to see a cheetahs with a kill & were willing him to eat as much as he could before his hard won prize was stolen from him by the hyena that we could spot in the distance. It was sadly taken from under his nose but that’s nature & it’s not always fair.
From day one we made Idris aware that we were happy to take each day as it came & not put him under pressure to tick things off a list. I think we got more from our trip in this way. He made our trip very special so a big Thank you to him.
We left Tanzania with a heavy heart but with some amazing, joyful memories. We would highly recommend Tanzania Roadside Expeditions to anybody who would like a tailor made trip of a lifetime.

我们下榻的旅馆也堪称完美：旅行第一天抵达后，我们住在阿鲁沙的格兰梅利亚酒店；第二天开始游猎之旅后，我们又住在马尼亚拉秘境旅馆。坦噶里耶国家公园里的旅馆同样很棒，它们都坐落在湖畔，配有私人泳池。可惜我们抵达时已很晚，第二天一早又匆匆离开，没能享受到泳池的乐趣，不过那里的环境确实美不胜收。我们在塞伦盖蒂探险者旅馆度过了两个美妙的夜晚，绝对会毫不犹豫地再次光顾！那里有一个视野开阔的无边泳池，可以俯瞰整个塞伦盖蒂草原。旅馆还设有一个观景台，正对着一片小水坑。最后我们入住的是恩戈罗恩戈罗山脊旅馆，我在那里泡了个爽快的热水澡，窗外就是山谷美景；我满心期待着能有一头大象沿着窗下的小径缓缓走过。可惜，这个愿望最终没能实现。不过，泡在浴缸里聆听鸟鸣与动物的叫声真是无比惬意。
所有的旅馆都有一个共同点，那就是工作人员——他们无一例外都非常出色！他们都热情友善，竭尽全力让我们有宾至如归的感觉。
在这次游猎之旅中，我们游览了塔兰吉雷国家公园、塞伦盖蒂以及恩戈罗恩戈罗火山口。由于车上只有我们两个人……我们很幸运，可以随心所欲地花大量时间等待并观察动物；我还可以从车的一侧移动到另一侧，以便拍到最理想的照片。我酷爱摄影，而伊德里斯则精心操控车辆，把我带到最适合拍摄的位置。他并没有在公园里疾驰（直到听到有有趣的动物出现时才加速），而是以平稳的速度行驶，这样我们就能发现许多动物。他还指给我看各种鸟类和其他小型动物。有一次，许多卡车飞驰着从我们身边经过，它们险些撞到刚从巢穴中探出头来的母鬣狗及其幼崽。我们成功看到了所有期望能看到的动物，包括狮子、豹子、大象和犀牛。能目睹一只猎豹捕到猎物，我们感到无比幸运；我们衷心希望它能尽情饱餐一顿，可惜很快它的战利品就被远处那些鬣狗给抢走了。很遗憾，他心爱的东西从他眼前被夺走了，但这就是自然规律，它并不总是公平的。
从第一天起，我们就让伊德里斯明白：我们乐意顺其自然地度过每一天，不会给他施加压力，让他必须完成清单上的各项任务。我觉得这样我们的旅行收获更多。他让我们的旅程变得无比特别，在此向他致以深深的谢意。
我们怀着沉重的心情离开了坦桑尼亚，但心中也留下了许多美好而快乐的回忆。我们强烈向那些希望拥有一生一次的定制之旅的朋友们推荐坦桑尼亚路边探险公司。
