From a Little Schoolhouse to a Door County Favorite 🍷
Door Peninsula Winery的点评
点评：We’ve been visiting Door Peninsula Winery since the early 1980s, when it was housed in a little two-room schoolhouse, and wow—has it changed over the years! Today it’s a beautiful, much larger destination, but it’s still a fun stop whenever we’re in Door County.
When you walk in, you can actually see some of the wine production taking place, which adds to the experience. There’s a large tasting bar where you can sample a variety of wines, including the fruit wines Door County is known for, along with spirits and specialty whiskeys.
This time I decided to venture beyond the wine and tried the cherry vodka—and it was excellent! 🍒 Definitely a fun Door County twist and something I’d recommend sampling.
There’s also a really nice seasonal gift shop with plenty to browse, and of course you can stock up on your favorites to take home, have wine shipped, or even join their wine club.
Whether you’re a wine lover, interested in trying some locally inspired spirits, or simply looking for a fun Door County stop, I’d recommend spending an hour here. Do a little tasting, browse the shop, and chances are you’ll find something delicious to bring home. After more than 40 years of visits, it’s pretty amazing to see how far Door Peninsula Winery has come! 🍷🍒
