Title: Impressive Building, But the Food Didn’t Live Up to Expectations

点评：We visited Mainsgill Farm Shop for the first time in several years and brought some friends along because we’d always enjoyed good food there in the past. The new extension has made the building feel very spacious and impressive, and it’s certainly a lovely place to visit.
Unfortunately, there was quite a long wait to be served, and the food didn’t meet the standards we remembered. I was particularly disappointed with the chocolate ganache cake, which was very stodgy and dry rather than rich and indulgent.
With tea and cake costing over £30 for our group, I expected a much better quality experience. It feels as though the focus may have shifted towards creating a larger, more commercial operation, with presentation and scale taking priority over the quality that originally made the place stand out. That's a real shame, as we had such positive memories of previous visits.
