点评:Visited here recently as part of a day trip to Nottingham with my partner.
In the interests of an honest review, I found the place genuinely interesting, although — as others have mentioned — a little “odd” at times in some of its display choices. I completely understand the owners’ need to continue developing the attraction and keeping things engaging for both new and returning visitors, but there were a few exhibits that didn’t quite feel in keeping with the overall theme of the museum.
The admission fee felt reasonable when you consider the costs involved in staffing, upkeep and expanding the displays. The unlimited tea and coffee option at an extra £2 per person also seemed fair value. I had a hot chocolate which was decent enough, while my partner enjoyed her coffee.
The exhibits themselves had clearly been curated with care, and each room generally followed its intended theme well. My personal favourites were the Forgotten Cave and the Skull Room, although I politely declined the opportunity to hold a human skull! One thing that struck me as slightly unusual was the need for two members of staff to effectively 'Police' visitors in the Skull Room despite the extensive CCTV coverage — although perhaps that’s due to regulations surrounding the nature of the exhibit.
It wasn’t particularly busy during our visit, which meant we could take our time and explore at our own pace, with only around 10–12 other visitors moving through the museum at the same time.
The staff throughout were pleasant and approachable, always offering help if needed, although aside from the supervision in the Skull Room we didn’t really interact with them much during the visit.
Overall, it’s definitely worth a visit if this sort of attraction appeals to you. The best way I can describe it is as a smaller-scale version of Ripley's Believe It or Not! — quirky, unusual and entertaining, just operating on a more modest budget.

(Ripley's Believe It or Not!)——古怪、奇特、有趣,只是运营预算比较有限。
