Poor value Countryman lunch

点评：We booked a compartment on what was supposed to be a steam train for a countryman lunch. Can understand with the weather why this was not possible, but no member of staff mentioned this.
The complimentary welcome drink wasn’t served until we were on our way back from Duffield and neither was our food. They served those who had paid a lot less in the main carriages and those that were on a bus trip before those in the compartments- we thought they’d forgotten us. Thank goodness we took a drink with us as it was a hot day and it was a long wait until we were offered a drink.
The scenery was nice but not worth paying £117 for less that 2 hours to see.
Some of the food had turned brown as it had been sitting so long (the slice of apple, lettuce and grapes) so were inedible. The bread was almost stale, it had been sitting out so long. The fiesta three cheese quiche (see photo) was tiny. The tea and coffee was luke warm and was served with UHT milk.
The lunch was a poor value for money experience and we will not be returning.
