One-eyed fruit fraudster
Be very careful when buying durian (or any fruit) at this market. There is only one fruit stall here, and the vendor is a complete scammer. I selected a durian, and he weighed it on his scale. Since I suspected something was wrong, I went and re-weighed it on the central control scales nearby. The real weight was 1 KG LESS than what he claimed!
When I came back and confronted him with the real weight, he refused to use honest scales, stopped talking to me, and completely refused to sell the durian to avoid getting caught.
He targets tourists who don't double-check the weight. If you buy anything here, ALWAYS re-weigh it on the market's central control scales before paying! Better yet, avoid this dishonest place and buy fruits at the nearby daytime fresh market instead where the scales are honest.
