Restaurant - fantastic. Museum, not so much.
V&A Dundee的点评
点评：This rating is for my overall experience based on the restaurant and museum.
If you're travelling to Dundee by train, you can't miss it. It is right across the road when you come out of the train station.
When we arrived we got a pre-amble speech of what is available in the museum. Lovely lady, clearly very passionate. We were ultimately there for Catwalk Couture Afternoon Tea and had some time to kill beforehand.
We went upstairs and the viewing platform across the water had a really nice view. We then made out to the disabled exhibition. I really liked this to be fair. It was informative and interactive. Lots of interesting pieces.
We went to the Maggie's exhibition and honestly, it did not do the charity justice. It just felt a bit empty. A few scale model building and pictures didn't really cut it for me. There was a film playing as well which was interesting though.
Toilets were very clean and everything seemed to work which is always a plus! We then made our way to the restaurant.
It was a little chaotic as we had a booking but there was just one long queue to order food. Only thing I'd say is if people have bookings, it would be nice for the restaurant to make a separate queue for those people. The staff had put 'Reserved' spaces on tables next to the windows for people who had booked the afternoon tea. Yet there were several people while we were there who were moved by the staff due to the reservations. They did this in a quick and respectful way.
Our server was very friendly and chatty. Gave us a good rundown of what we should expect. I had a hot chocolate and my friend had a tea. Our afternoon tea came and it looked incredible. Only thing I didn't like was the melon, feta and pink peppercorn. I just don't like feta, but it looked lovely! Scones were all baked to perfection. The blackberry jam was unbelievable. I did end up eating the leftovers from the jar with a spoon! Not sure the lemon & ginger mousse was set properly but it still tasted nice. Was a little runny. The other desserts were really yummy too. We were asked a few times whether we wanted topped up on tea/coffee/hot chocolate so the staff were on top of everything. But not in an intrusive way.
After finishing our afternoon tea, we paid to go into the fashion exhibition. It would have been rude not to. Tip, it's cheaper to book online than book in the museum. I'm glad we saved money as the exhibition was very small. It was spaced out very well but there was not much substance. Certainly what was there was interesting, just wish there was more of it.
We went into another part of the museum, can't remember what it was called but it had a lot of Scotland history in it. Including this room , overall I felt the museum could have had more to it. It is a lot of 'open space' and not a lot in there.
Don't get me wrong, the staff in both the museum and restaurant were great. The restaurant is worth visiting for sure. However the museum, it was alright.

虽然我们提前预约了，但现场有点混乱——只有一条长长的排队队伍用来点餐。我想说的是，如果有顾客提前预约的话，餐厅最好为他们单独设立一个排队通道。工作人员还在靠窗的桌子旁贴上了“已预订”的标识，专门给预订了下午茶的客人使用。不过，我们在那儿的时候，有几位客人因为工作人员的周到安排而深受感动。他们处理得非常迅速且礼貌。
我们的服务生非常友善，也很健谈，详细地向我们介绍了可以期待的体验。我点了热巧克力，我的朋友则点了茶。下午茶端上来后，看起来简直棒极了。唯一让我不太喜欢的是甜瓜、菲达奶酪和粉红胡椒的组合——其实我只是不喜欢菲达奶酪而已，不过整体摆盘真的很漂亮！司康饼也烤得恰到好处。那个黑莓果酱简直绝了。最后我甚至直接用勺子把罐子里剩下的果酱都吃光了！至于柠檬姜味慕斯，虽然不确定它有没有完全凝固，但味道依然很不错，只是稍微有点稀。其他甜点也都非常美味。工作人员多次询问我们是否需要续杯茶、咖啡或热巧克力，他们对各项服务都打理得井井有条，但又不显打扰。
享用完下午茶后，我们付钱进入了时尚展览区。不这么做就太失礼了。小贴士：在线购票比在博物馆现场购票要便宜。很高兴我们省了钱，因为整个展览规模其实很小。展品的布局倒是很不错，但内容实在不多。当然，现有的内容还是挺有趣的的，只是希望能有更多一些。
我们还去了博物馆的另一个展区，记不起叫什么名字了，不过那里展示了很多苏格兰的历史。算上这个展厅在内，我觉得整个博物馆的内容本可以更丰富些。那里有很多“空地”，但内容却不多。
别误会，博物馆和餐厅的工作人员都很出色。餐厅绝对值得一去。不过博物馆嘛，也就那样吧。
