Liked it a lot more than we thought we would

点评：Neither of us thought we'd be huge fans of the Icelandic thermal spa experience. I like a good soak in a hot tub, but perhaps not in 50 degree weather (11 C). My wife even less so. And neither of us was crazy about the whole public changing room experience followed by naked showers and all that (thankfully sex segregated at least). But... to our surprise, we liked it a lot more than we thought we would.
First, it was very uncrowded, at least at 1:30 PM. Later in the afternoon, it got a bit more crowded, but never overwhelming. Did not feel like a tourist trap like some of the more popular ones in Reykjavik.
The facilities are very clean. We got over the whole naked shower part, and my wife said that there are private changing rooms (though I didn't see one).
The drinks are decently priced for Iceland. And the water felt good after a half day of hiking. I wasn't cold at all, even walking between pools. But unlike the larger facilities, you don't have to walk far between pools anyway, as there are only three pools (plus a cold plunge).
Best of all, the views are beautiful. Very pleasant and serene experience.
