Evening trip on a beautiful calm sea

点评：Lucky us. We chose a lovely warm evening for this trip and a flat calm sea. Advertised as a two hour trip, we were away from port for just over the two hours. There were eleven passengers and three crew for this trip. Proceeding along the coast slowing up at various points of interest and eventually, as sun was setting, we reached the Calf. Fortunately for us it was suitable to land via the South Harbour for about 15mins and have a quick walk around on the island. The bonus was seeing some of the resident Manx Loaghtan rare breed native sheep hurrying past, as is requested by the Manx Heritage, even the sheep keep to the footpaths! Before leaving the South harbour welcome refreshments were served, a mug of tea/coffee and biscuits.
Animals spotted along the way included seals, porpoises, shags, gulls as well as the sheep. Too late in the season for puffins.
Our Experienced crew sailed us close to some rocks and also to the Chicken Rock Lighthouse down at the most southerly point of the Isle of Man. We circumnavigated the Calf of Man before returning to port. The crew kept us expertly informed of the various points of interest throughout the cruise.
This is a trip not to miss on your visit to the Isle of Man. Excellent experience, especially at evening time.
