Nice beach, good snorkeling
Achilles Bay Beach的点评
点评：This beach has gotten mixed reviews, but when we were there (June 2026), it was clean, the staircase was in great shape, and and it was a great experience. The snorkeling is good, especially for coral-type things if you go out to the rocks closer to the mouth of the cove. It is not a large beach, and it would not be a good beach for sun bathing; at high tide, there was only maybe 15 feet of dry sand. There is a nice ledge along the retaining wall protecting the stairs down to the beach, which was a great place to set our stuff down. We were there on a VERY windy day - so windy that Tobacco Bay nearly had white caps - but the left side of Achilles Bay was actually pretty calm. It's worth noting that it is a 10 minute walk from Tobacco Bay to Achilles Beach, but once you are at Achilles, it is only about 2 minutes to the public beach area of St. Regis, and the snorkeling is even more amazing over there, with both fish and coral.
