Palina Came for the Sunset, Left Engaged to a Stingray…

点评：Seven Mile Beach, Negril — and let me start by saying I have no complaints about the sand, the water, or the rum. My complaint is emotional.
Palina announced she wanted to “just look” at the stingrays. Forty seconds later she was waist-deep in the Caribbean, cooing at a two-foot pancake with wings like it was a newborn. It glided into her hands. She gasped. It did a slow lap around her, came back, and settled there like it had signed a lease.
The guide told us stingrays feel like wet velvet. Palina now tells everyone they feel like wet velvet. She has said this eleven times since Tuesday. I have been married to a woman who is a stingray person for three days and I am adjusting.
Highlights: warm shallow water, crystal clear, guides who actually know their animals and keep it respectful. Nobody grabbed, chased, or stressed the rays — they came because they wanted to, which is more than I can say for most of my dinner guests.
Lowlight: I took forty-six photos of Palina and a stingray. Zero of Palina and me. When I mentioned this she said, “You weren’t glowing.”
Would recommend to anyone visiting Negril. Bring a waterproof camera, bring patience, and accept that if you come with a beautiful woman, the stingrays will find her first.
Five stars. My wife would give six. 🇯🇲
