点评：My wife and I were celebrating our 47th wedding anniversary by going to the Ride and Dine on Silver Mountain. Unfortunately the temperature at the parking lot was 101 degrees! Thus, the gondola ride up the mountain was like an oven. In addition due to wild land fires in the area, the mountains were pretty smoky as well. Both of these issues were definitely not the fault of the resort! The lifties were polite and accommodating. But the over all experience was "meh". Once we got off on top, we walked outside and had to figure out seating and where the food line was. We didn't realize it was a buffet style until we arrived, but weren't surprised. We've eating at excellent food buffets before. This buffet was very mediocre at best. The servers were polite... but the food wasn't. They were offering ribs (not baby backs), prime rib and salmon and chicken too. The ribs were floating in sauce, and cold, the prime rib was cold, and the salmon looked very dry and overcooked. The sides were unforgettable as well. At least we had real plates to handle the weighted food. We found a table easy enough that we shared with others, ate and listened to the music. The musician was capable, but the audio system was such that we couldn't understand a word she said or sang. After we finished our meal I looked at my wife and said, "Well hon', I've had enough how about you?" She said, "Yeah, lets go". We did walk over to the ski hill map, snapped a photo and headed down. After touching down, we got in our car and drove into downtown CDA for dessert. While the setting was great--the top of the mountain--the event wasn't something I want to repeat or send my friends too. Next time, I'd rather pack a pick-nick meal and find a spot with a view and eat solo. I really believe that a little more effort in meal prep and using heated containers would go a long way in providing a better product.
