点评：We'd promised the grandchildren (age 2 and 5) a trip on the steam engine after checking out the website before going on holiday. Little did we realise that the Sunday we took the train meant that a Gala was on and this was reflected in the price! We paid £153 for 4 adults and two children (one of which was FOC because of being only 2)! To say we were a bit shocked is an understatement (especially because when we were actually on the train we were told that we should have paid "a lot more than that" by both conductors checking the tickets on the trip). Apparently, a return ticket works out to be more expensive that 2 singles for there and back and we'd only been charged singles for each of the trips. I don't think I've ever been anywhere where the pricing is so confusing that not even the staff know what to charge! Looking at the website afterwards, I still couldn't work out how we'd been charged the "lesser" amount that we paid! It was still a lovely thing to do and the trip is very nostalgic but maybe more suited to couples than families, due to the cost. It's not something we'd do again.
翻译：度假前，我们特意查看了网站，答应带两个孙子孙女（一个2岁，一个5岁）去坐蒸汽火车。没想到我们乘坐火车的那天是周日，正好赶上火车节，票价也因此上涨了不少！我们四个大人两个小孩（其中一个因为只有两岁所以免费）一共花了153英镑！我们当时真是震惊不已（尤其是在火车上，两位列车员查票时都告诉我们，我们应该付“远不止这个价”）。显然，一张往返票的价格比两张单程票加起来还贵，而我们每次都只付了单程票的钱。我从未见过哪个地方的票价这么混乱，连工作人员都搞不清楚到底该收多少钱！事后我又查看了网站，还是想不明白为什么我们付的钱“这么少”！这仍然是一次很棒的旅行，充满了怀旧的气息，但由于费用较高，可能更适合情侣而非家庭。我们不会再做第二次了。
