点评：Pearson's Falls has finally reopened after being closed for nearly two years following Hurricane Helene, and it was such a pleasure to be. back.
This isn't a strenuous hike and it's a place to slow down. The walk follows the water through a wonderfully cool, quiet forest, with the falls the gasp! at the end. There are many small quiet revelations of nature along the way: buckeyes underfoot, hummingbirds at the falls, and spider webs catching the light.
The restoration after Helene has. been done with enormous care, and the new reservation system means the preserve never feels overrun. It still feels intimate and peaceful.
The knowledgable staff member at the gate informed us that the preserve allows a limited number of private weddings or other celebrations on certain days, with gatherings of up to 50 people for a very reasonable price. What an extraordinary setting for a celebration.
Pearson's Falls is one of those rare places where the pleasure isn't just the destination, it's the whole way there.
