Fun, but overpriced and underserved
狂浪水上乐园&魔法村的点评
点评：As someone who frequented Wild Waves as a teen in the 90s, I was saddened to hear it was closing although I hadn't been in years. We took our own teens for their first visit in the final summer and while it was fun, it was not nearly as great as I remembered, nor did it have as much to do as other water parks we've visited.
The lines were quite long the day we were there. We routinely waited 45+ minutes for a slide that was only 30ish seconds long. While we've had long waits in other parks, this just felt longer, or like all of them were long waits, whereas in other parks we've always felt like we could find ways to minimize waiting.
The ground is very difficult to walk on in bare feet, but unfortunately shoes are not allowed on the slides so bare feet are required to some degree. I stepped on more rocks and pointy/sharp things than I can count. It really tore my feet up.
Additionally, no outside food is allowed and the food they sell is way overprices. It was $18 for an elephant ear! While you can leave to go to your car and eat and then come back, that cuts into water park time, and since the hours are already limited (11 am to 6 pm on an August weekday) we didn't want to do that.
It was a fun trip, but I can understand why it is closing and I'm not sure that we'd return if it was staying home.
