点评：A group of 6 people spent several hours digging around the holes and in the creek and did not find anything but mud, lots of sandstone, some chunks of quartz, and a micro chip of sapphire. We did have a great time, but left without any "treasure." Maybe we didn't explore extensively enough, and it had rained a LOT in the days right before we were there. There is a pretty steep hill up to the bathroom from the area where you pay, sluice, and watch the movie. Definitely bring a wagon to cart stuff around, beverages, and chairs if you will want to take a break. Be prepared to handle muddy items when you are finished, we brought plastic bags to put stuff back in the cars when we were finished. The creek was very crowded and red tape was blocking access to part of it.

Truth be told, I found a lot more keeper "rocks" in the creeks and rivers in Cherokee and Bryson City.
