Great Experience Visiting in Summer

点评：We almost decided to pass on this place due to the "controversy" of the high ticket price, the awkward audio tour situation, and the overall inconvenience of being on-site, especially in hot weather. Good thing we went! The place delivered precisely what we'd expect from it: a close look at the site that the famous architect and his team created, lived, and worked at for multiple years. Summer actually feels like a better time to visit, as it offers the unique opportunity to walk through the tour path practically alone, rather than share it with the peak season crowds.
Logistically, everything is very efficient - but clearly, larger crowds may overwhelm the site, even as the attendance is capped and timed. One can grab a free umbrella as the outdoor shade is scarce. There is plenty of seating area during the indoor part of the tour, in a cooler or air-conditioned environment, except the drawing room, which was very hot. The restrooms in the gift shop are adequate (for the summer level of crowd).
The place is not huge; it was set up as a part-time camp, and certainly not designed to become a major attraction handling many hundreds of visitors a day. Arguably, the current management made the best they could out of it, and the audio option allows spreading the visitors better along the tour path and avoiding overcrowding of narrow passages.
There were a few people complaining that the phone app crashed, and it did happen to us once on a powerful, newer phone, but the app is navigable after a restart to get to the right place and continue.
The gift shop is well stocked - worth taking a look.
