Fun learning experience at this BEAUTIFUL Historical Property & Hunger Games filming site.
Henry River Mill Village的点评
点评：Overall a fantastic experience! Property manager Donovan provided the best customer service! He was so welcoming and knowledgeable about the history of the textile mill village as well as the Hunger Games movie filming.
$18 per adult. Kids under 18 are free with a paying adult. The official tour happens at the top of every hour, but is totally optional. It's a great way to learn about the history, but you can explore the property on your own if you prefer. We spent 2 hours exploring . Wish we would have packed a lunch. This would be a beautiful place for a picnic.
This is an outdoor activity so you'll definitely want to dress appropriately for the weather. The property is so BEAUTIFUL and peaceful. The backdrop of the mill village makes for some amazing photos.
It was not crowded when we were there. 1 other couple and a family of 4. Even if it had been busy, the property is so large (40 acres) there is plenty of room for everyone to spread out and explore. Important to note, there is no indoor plumbing on site. Porta potty/sanican bathroom available. (Was clean when I used it.)
Most of the mill houses are boarded up for safety reasons but you can go inside of Katniss Everdeen's house from the Hunger Games movie. I had so much fun acting out the scenes and lining up shots from the movie.
