A decent theme park experience

点评：Went here on a beautiful Monday spring day in late March. Park wasn’t very busy but getting into the lot and paying for parking was a terrible experience. One of the worst managed amusement park lots I have ever seen. If trying to get here by rope drop, may want to give yourself 30-45 minutes to get through the parking gate.
No separate line for prepaid parking. Probably took us 20 minutes to crawl to the parking gate to pay a whopping $35(!) for general parking and this on a day that wasn’t very crowded. Not even preferred or non vip parking (those are even more money). Just leaves a bad first impression before you get into the park.
The park itself is beautiful with creatively themed lands and gorgeous landscapes. Only had one major wait, which was the Darkoaster. This should be the ride you try to go to first at rope drop as it is a notorious slow loader, and took us 70 minutes to get on.
All other coasters were under a thirty minute wait and some were close to walk on or less than 15 minutes. Lots of coasters here but felt the park was lacking in non roller coaster rides. Doesn’t help either that the Skyride was closed and when you go in the Spring, two out of the three water rides aren’t open yet because of cool temperatures.
Good food options and lots of shops. Prices for everything is high, which I always expect at a theme park. Glad we went but no reason to come back anytime soon.
Tip: if you have a AAA membership, you can buy any day tickets for about $55 through the AAA website. Trying to buy any day tickets through the park website is an exhausting experience and will usually cost more money.
