点评:Buy your tickets online or at the kiosk before the Mahanakhon Skywalk opens, and arrive at least ten minutes early. Here's why.
We were there before the 10:00am opening, tickets in hand, first in line for the elevator — and when the doors opened on the 74th floor, then again at the 78th, we walked out to the glass ledge completely alone. Just us and Bangkok sprawling endlessly below.
I slipped on the special shoe covers, took a breath, and stepped out onto the glass floor suspended over the city. I'd expected it to be terrifying. It wasn't, not nearly. What it was, was surreal. With my husband happy to serve as cameraman and the glass entirely to myself — something that apparently almost never happens — I made the most of every second: standing, sitting, dancing, doing the breaststroke, holding a plank, making snow angels. I went back for a second walk. I could have stayed out there all day.
From there, we headed up a few more stairs to the open-air top ledge for more photos, then made our way down to the fourth floor — where an immersive art installation stopped us in our tracks. Lasers, mirrors, and a breathtaking focus on animals and nature. I'd known it existed, but no description had prepared me for how extraordinary it actually was. We stayed far longer than planned, left with seriously fun photos, and walked away genuinely delighted. A wonderful way to start the morning.
