I was placed on a bed separated from another massage bed by just a fabric curtain. During my session, I had to listen to a man next to me getting a “special” massage, moaning loudly and at certain moments asking for a “full release.” I don’t know why I tried to ignore it for so long instead of leaving immediately, but I eventually left before the 90 minutes was up.
When I walked out, the receptionist apologized and asked if the noise had been loud. She mentioned that they “get certain clients at this time of day” and offered a discount, which I understood as acknowledging the situation.
I think you’re free to offer whatever services you want, but there should be basic consideration for client comfort and privacy. At a minimum, don’t place someone getting a standard massage right next to that kind of session. There are clearly better ways to run such a business.
