Río Lagartos Experience By Jorge N的点评
点评：Our tour with Rio Lagartos Experience by Jorge was easily one of the highlights of our trip to the Yucatán.
Jorge was fantastic—friendly, welcoming, and extremely knowledgeable about all of the local wildlife as well as the history of the area. He didn’t just point things out; he explained what we were seeing, shared interesting stories and history, and clearly has a real passion for Rio Lagartos and the surrounding ecosystem.
He knew exactly where to go to find flamingos, crocodiles, and an incredible variety of birds. The experience never felt rushed or overly touristy. It felt more like exploring the area with a knowledgeable local friend.
One recommendation for other travellers: skip paying to visit Las Coloradas and spend your time experiencing the natural environment of Rio Lagartos instead. The famous pink pools at Las Coloradas are not a natural phenomenon in the way many tourists may assume—they are man-made salt evaporation ponds associated with a commercial salt-harvesting operation. We much preferred learning about and experiencing the wildlife, mangroves, and natural ecosystem with Jorge.
The scenery and wildlife are incredible, but Jorge is what made the experience special.
If you're visiting Rio Lagartos, I would 100% recommend booking with Jorge. Great guide, amazing wildlife, fascinating history, and a truly memorable experience.
