点评：Beautiful old Spanish fort in St Augustine. Parking and grounds open 8 am, $2.50/hour to park, 4 hour max. Credit card only, have your license plate number memorized. Try to be early because small parking area fills up fast. You can tour exterior of fort and grounds before fort itself officially opens at 9am. Entrance fee $15/person. They give lectures on fort history hourly. The lecture is about 30 minutes and if you are big fan of history you will love it, if you have young kids it is about 20 minutes too long.
Twice a day they demonstrate firing cannon or musket, check with staff for times. Staff in period clothes are happy to answer questions.
Fascinating place to explore on your own with many interpretive signs. There is a great view of the harbor from the top of the fort walls. There is a restroom and gift shop. We were there for 3 hours and that was just about right.
