点评:This experience started off well enough. We were taken by a guide we had booked for the day to show us around the Ubud region and he chose this coffee plantation for us to visit. He introduced us to an on-site guide who took us through the vegetation on a well set out path and pointed out coffee plants and other plants like turmeric along the way. We arrived at a point where an old person was roasting coffee beans over a fire, stoked with some kindling wood, and trays of coffee beans shown to us. I accepted this as a demonstration only and started to wonder where the manufacturing and roasting plant were on this estate. Then we enjoyed a tasting of various teas and coffees (see photo), in a pleasant environment overlooking a view of coffee plants in the valleys below. Still no sign of where these products were processed. However, after this we were encouraged to visit the on-site shop. I should have realised that the lack of information on the products for sale was not right. No manufacturer details, no use by dates. When I inquired about this I was given answers that did not really satisfy me, but foolishly I still purchased them. Later, on reflection, and reading some of the reviews on this site, I realised I had no idea what was in these packets and am reluctant to use them. Buyer beware!
