点评：The food and of course the beer was quite good and the music (Irish band Gaelic Mishap) was especially good! Now for my gripe. My wife and I are in our 70’s and she rarely drives so she does not always carry her drivers license (or passport) with her. Apparently the folks at Guinness check licenses on everyone at the entrance and would NOT accept the digital copy of her license, which we showed him on her iPhone. Now of course I think my wife is beautiful but only a severely sight-impaired person would confuse her with being less than age 21 years! We asked to see the manager who said “those license photographs are altered all the time so we can’t accept them”. So she received the “mark of shame”, a black “X” mark with a Sharpie on her hand so they could be sure she was not ordering or drinking alcohol. I would like to,add that both ourselves and the Guinness personnel were quite polite throughout the “failed” process so no complaints there. But a round trip of 2 hours to retrieve her license did not seem reasonable since we would miss so much of the band so we just suffered our fate but I will tell you that this policy affected our enjoyment of the facility and it will likely be quite a while before we return.
