2 weeks too long. A few improvements would make experience much better

点评：Boats quite new and in good order. Staff very friendly. One lock fault before starting so preferred route not available. I’d suggest that staff develop step by step instructions on where to go, moor up, take on water etc so easy to understand rather than drawing on a map.
Weather was very hot and extremely uncomfortable on a steel boat. Really needs aircon via solar panels etc. no wifi either and hardly any tv reception in most areas.
You do need to be relatively fit to use some of the lock gates. A long handle ratchet would work better for this task. Big walk between some locks so a wee scooter or collapsible bike would make the process quicker and less energy draining.
Lucky we only got 2 hours of rain in 2 weeks but a canopy over the helm would be magnificent for both sun and rain protection.
The boats are 65ft long and take some turning. Bow thrusters would be a god send especially for novices as probably most customers are.
Beds and pillows too firm for our liking too so accompanied by hot weather made sleeping very difficult.
Probably reads a bit whiny but don’t take it like that. Just suggestions for improvement.
Days are long too travelling up to 8hrs or so to get somewhere decent. Do need to moor up for a couple of days to get away from helm etc. padded seating at helm would be a great addition too
