点评：Steamboat remains one of the ski destinations I remember most fondly because it combines excellent skiing with the character of a real Colorado ranching town. I still remember the phrase “Champagne Powder,” and the light, dry snow and beautiful aspen tree skiing absolutely lived up to the billing. I was young and pretty clueless about the broader ski world when I first visited, but after experiencing more mountain towns over the years, I appreciate even more how welcoming, relaxed, and genuinely Western Steamboat felt.

I’ve also experienced Steamboat in summer, and the town is special in a completely different way. Tubing down the Yampa River and going to the rodeo are still standout memories, and they capture the warmth and personality of the place perfectly. Between the skiing, the town, and the family-friendly atmosphere, Steamboat left a lasting impression on me. Highly recommended.
