点评：We took the 3 in 1 trip to go turtle spotting, Marathonisi caves swim and Marathonisi (Turtle Island) beach. This review isn’t about the experience with this company. They were polite, well organised and friendly. The number of people on the boat was ok and the timings worked well.
Swimming around the caves was great, lots of fish and beautifully clear water with great visibility.
So why the one star? Despite the turtle spotting happening in the National Marine Park, our experience was joining a crowd of perhaps 10 boats jostling each other to surround one poor turtle, some boats blaring out music as they went. It was evident from what we learned later at the Zante Turtle conservation centre that this kind of treatment harms the turtles, increasing their chances of being killed or badly injured hugely and putting them off going to the vital beaches where they lay the eggs to continue their species.
The beach on Turtle island was much the same with crowds of people very close to the turtle nests, commercial boats selling ice creams and lots of litter on account of their being no bins available.
If you care at all for the welfare of the Turtles, please find another way to see them!
