An Unforgettable Jungle Adventure in Ketambe 🦧🌿
Ketambe Jungle Tour with Putra的点评
点评：We wanted our honeymoon to be more than just beautiful beaches and relaxation – we also wanted to experience a real adventure. And that is exactly what we found with Ketambe Jungle Trekking and Putra on Sumatra. ❤️🌿
Our goal was to see orangutans in the wild, far away from mass tourism. And for that, Ketambe is simply perfect. It is still wonderfully authentic and untouched and cannot be compared to a tourist hotspot like Bukit Lawang. If you are looking for nature, authenticity and a truly special jungle experience, Ketambe is the place to go!
We spent three nights in the jungle and probably saw only around ten other people during the entire trek. Instead, we were surrounded by untouched rainforest, hiking for several hours each day in search of orangutans. And the experiences we were rewarded with are memories we will never forget. We had several incredible encounters, with orangutans swinging through the trees just a few meters above our heads. 🦧
It is important to understand that if you expect fed or habituated orangutans, Ketambe is not the place for you. There are no guarantees and no staged animal encounters here. You search for the animals in their natural habitat and sometimes have to hike for hours through the jungle. One day we were simply unlucky and didn't find any – but that is nature, and that is exactly what makes the successful encounters so special.
A huge part of what made our experience so wonderful were our two guides, Karim and Abdul. They were incredibly warm, kind and attentive and put so much effort into making our entire trek unforgettable. It never felt like we were simply on a tour – it felt much more like sharing an adventure with friends.
And then there was Karim's amazing cooking! 😍 Every morning, lunch and evening we were treated to delicious local food. After hours of hiking through the jungle, sitting down to a freshly prepared meal was always a real highlight.
Since this was our honeymoon, Karim, Abdul and Putra also made sure that we had our own private camp, without any other tents around us. Our tent was set up in a beautiful spot right beside the river. We could sit there surrounded by nature and watch the little monkeys washing themselves in the river – while they were just as curious about us and watched us washing as well! It honestly doesn't get much more natural or romantic than that. ❤️🌿
The whole experience was also perfectly organised from start to finish. The airport shuttle arranged by Putra, both from the airport to Ketambe and back again, worked flawlessly. Everything was smooth and reliable, which meant we could simply relax and enjoy the adventure.
A huge thank you to Abdul, Karim and Putra! You made such an important part of our honeymoon truly unforgettable and gave us a genuine, wild and incredibly special jungle adventure that we will remember for the rest of our lives.
