Very disappointing experience at Oxygen Trampoline Park in Reading.
We arrived with perfectly good Red Kangaroo trampoline grip socks, which are specifically designed for use at a trampoline park, but were told we were not allowed to use them and had to buy Oxygen-branded socks for an additional £3.
I understand having a rule requiring proper trampoline/grip socks for safety reasons. What I do NOT understand is forcing customers to purchase another pair simply because the perfectly suitable socks they already own have a different company's branding on them.
It felt completely unnecessary and more like an extra charge than a genuine safety requirement. If there is a specific technical or safety reason why Red Kangaroo trampoline socks are unsuitable, staff should be able to clearly explain what that difference is.
It's only £3, but that's really not the point. Families already pay for admission, and forcing customers to buy another pair of essentially the same type of socks leaves a very poor impression.
Unfortunately, this policy really spoiled what should have been an enjoyable visit. I would strongly suggest Oxygen reconsider it and allow customers to use appropriate trampoline grip socks regardless of the logo printed on them.
