Monteviot Gardens的点评
点评：Despite visiting Monteviot when clearly not at its best I was pleasantly surprised and pleased by most areas of this garden with the exception of a few minor exceptions / pointers as follows:
- In the Garden of Persistent Imagination, unless it would cause a Health & Safety issue, it is suggested that dry stone walling is used instead of concreted stone walling. Dry-stone walling ages much better.
- Plant acers instead of firs in the garden 'rooms'.
- Clear algae & duck weed from Water Garden ... not much point is seen in putting seats out for views of a stagnant(?) pond choked with duck weed & algae.
- Also, more work and thought needs putting into the layout of the Water Garden.
- Would advise only using older, perfumed roses.
- It would be great if a .pdf copy of the garden map could be downloaded from the Monteviot website.
Otherwise, Monteviot is definitely a garden to watch and well worth visiting.
