点评:I feel like there are several parts of the customer experience here that are a little wonky and could use some improvement.
To start, the confirmation email lists three different addresses. Naturally, when you pull the location up in Maps and see a large parking lot at the main address, you assume that is where customers are supposed to park and that the other two addresses are additional or backup parking options if needed. That is not the case, and the parking instructions are not communicated clearly. On top of the roughly $30-per-person cost, customers are also expected to pay for parking.
The front-desk experience was also disappointing. When I tried to offer feedback about the confusing parking information, the employee did not seem interested in hearing it. I was also told I could not set my coffee down anywhere, despite there being a large open entrance area and plenty of space where it could have safely been placed without being in the way or at risk of spilling. I completely understand having rules, but nowhere in the confirmation information did I see anything explaining a no-drink policy.
There is also no discounted pricing for children, which was surprising considering the experience itself was not especially interactive for younger guests.
We completed the Jurassic room, and unfortunately the majority of the experience consisted of solving one padlock after another. Nearly every clue simply led to another combination lock, while many of the other elements throughout the room were labeled “do not touch” or “do not move.” That made the room feel more restrictive than immersive and took away from the interactive experience we were expecting.
The instructions were also very minimal, and there wasn’t much rhyme or reason to many of the elements in the room that would allow you to naturally figure out how to progress. Because of that, it often felt like you had to ask for a clue just to understand what direction you were supposed to be going in.
What made that even more frustrating was learning that only four clues are included across both rooms unless you pay an additional $10 for “unlimited clues.” Considering how difficult it was to progress naturally based on the room design itself, charging extra for enough guidance to continue the experience felt excessive—especially after already spending around $160.
Overall, the concept has potential, but clearer parking communication, a more welcoming front-desk experience, more intuitive and interactive room design, and a more reasonable clue policy would make a significant difference. For the price, I expected the experience to feel much more immersive than simply working through a series of padlocks.
