The Best Regatta Cocktail Bar in the Universe

点评：OK, so next time you are in Poros, as you walk into town, look up at the Cinema and half way up you will see a balcony with chairs & tables, and lights on the railings. That’s the Regatta Cocktail Bar. Yes, anyone can go there, it isn’t actually part of the cinema at all!
To get there, walk inside, past the Cinema Booking booth on the ground floor and go up the stairs on the left. There you will step back in time to find a huge, old cinema projector in the bar area, and then go outside and step onto the balcony.
What a view overlooking the harbour with all the yachts! Down below people are walking to and fro along the front whilst the taxis & mopeds calmly navigate the throng. The lights from the boats and the restaurants and the street lights make it all feel so atmospheric. Sit at a table and soak in the magic.
There is a full range of drinks & cocktails on the menu so the question is “what to choose” each night? And we went almost every single night during our 2 week stay, as we have done over the last 16 years.
Do you get the impression that we love the place?🤣
And so to the lovely people themselves who run the place. I can’t call them “staff” because we have made a very good friend, over the years, with the very, very special, lovely, charming and engaging Adda who is so attentive and who has a great sense of humour. She always finds time to chat and tell us the latest on Poros. Her English is perfect!
We must also mention the lovely Spiros who also looks after us and the lovely Χρύσα whose name we tried in vain to pronounce correctly all holiday. She too was so charming & engaging, speaking perfect English, always checking that we were OK.
It is really hard to leave each year to come home but the Regatta Cocktail Bar together with Spiros, Χρύσα and the lovely Adda will stay in our hearts until next year.

接下来要说说经营这家店的那些可爱的人们。我实在没法称他们为“工作人员”，因为这些年来，我们和这些特别又友善的人们成了非常好的朋友。迷人又讨人喜欢的阿达，她十分体贴入微，还有着极佳的幽默感。她总是抽出时间与我们聊天，告诉我们波罗斯的最新动态。她的英语说得棒极了！
我们还必须提到和蔼可亲的斯皮罗斯，他同样悉心照顾我们；还有可爱的赫里萨，整个假期我们都在努力想把她的名字念对，却始终未能如愿。她也同样迷人又讨人喜欢，英语说得无可挑剔，还总是关心我们是否一切安好。每年离开这里回家都十分艰难，但Regatta鸡尾酒酒吧，还有Spiros、Χρύσα以及可爱的Adda，都将永远留在我们的心中，直到明年。
希望你们也能像我们一样，尽情享受这个无比特别的地方。
