点评:Will's Fear of Heights course was the perfect Christmas present from my husband. I am heading off to hike the Via Alta Uno in the Dolomites later this year and I felt I needed to better understand what has been a developing fear over the last decade or so. I found the course provided me with lots of interesting insights as well as a set of practical skills and strategies - invaluable for tackling moments when the path may be narrow, the drop vertiginous and the fear of losing one's balance and falling, overwhelming. We started with light hypnosis with the aim of changing our underlying mindset. This session helped to unlock some of the potential reasons for the fear developing in the first place. After that, we were outdoors, building slowly and systematically various skills to give us confidence - balance, breathing and weight shifting. In this way, we gradually extended our capacity to tackle different types of height 'environments'. Will and Adam were excellent leaders - good humored, steady, encouraging and attentive. Best of all there is follow up through a what's app group. This has been invaluable in reminding us what we have achieved and encouraging us to further extend ourselves. Height is slowly transforming into an exciting challenge rather than a source of dread. Thank you Will, Adam and Alison for bringing about this transformation!
